The Mad Scientist
Mixing Science & Jesus with Reckless Abandon

Meet the Scientist
Blogging the intersection of Faith, Science, & Relationships

Hi Friends! Welcome to The Mad Scientist blog! My name is Taylor Jackson and I am a self-proclaimed Mad Scientist. I fell in love with science early on in my educational journey, and I’ve always pursued my dream of one day becoming a doctor. I started this blog because as a Believer, scientist, and medical professional, there were many conversations I wanted to have that seemed taboo to others. The discussions about faith and science are never held in conjunction; so this blog aims to knock down those barriers of separation and bridge the gap between the natural and spiritual world.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry & Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, and later went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a degree in Cytotechnology. Today, I work as a Cytogeneticist in a genetics lab at UT Southwestern hospital in Dallas, TX.
I write about the things I love, which is Jesus & Science. I want to combine the truth found in the Bible with scientific facts and information to help us grow and mature during our journey. It is my goal to inspire, reaffirm, and challenge you to be better today than you were yesterday.
If you’ve read this far, I hope you choose to stick around. Become my lab partner and drop your email in the subscriber box below! Please comment and share these posts so that we can connect and walk through this crazy journey called life together.

“Your ancestors called it magic, but you call it science. I come from a land where they are one and the same."
